The Newspaper In Education program devotes approximately 34 pages per year to education. This curriculum is published in The Joplin Globe each Monday throughout the school year, except major holidays.

Topics for classroom curriculum pages vary from science and history to art, geography, character education and fitness. Pages may also feature serialized stories, as well as holiday and summer-themed pages.

The annual NIE line-up announcing the upcoming education pages is advertised in The Joplin Globe and direct-mailed to approximately 2,000 area teachers in August.

Teachers may order newspapers to receive specific education pages, or they may order to receive all 34 pages throughout the year - as well as newspapers throughout the week.
