Newspapers for educational use are available to classrooms within The Globe’s delivery area at a reduced rate of 12 cents per copy. The Joplin Globe underwrites the remainder of the cost.

Even at reduced cost, however, many schools still don’t have funds for newspapers. In those cases, papers may be paid for through the NIE Sponsorship Fund as long as funding is available.

Once newspapers have arrived in the classroom, the NIE program continues to support teachers with free curriculum resources and teaching materials in a wide range of subjects and grade levels.
