Joplin Globe Sponsorship Application
The Joplin Globe has a long history in the community. For more than 100 years, we've reported on the lives and times of this region. In addition to delivering information, we believe it is our responsibility to help ensure a strong, healthy and vibrant community through both financial and volunteer support of several nonprofit organizations whose mission is to improve the quality of life for the community.
Throughout the year, we receive hundreds of sponsorship requests from a wide variety of worthwhile organizations and causes. While we would love to support all of them, we have chosen as an organization to focus our support in three key areas: education, economic development and arts and culture. Rather than spread limited resources over a variety of funding opportunities, this focus enables us to provide meaningful support in an effort to bring about true change and progress.

Eligible recipient organizations must be recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as tax exempt and a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code or as an instrumentality of a federal, state or local government by Section 170(c)(1) of the Code.

The
Joplin Globe does not provide sponsorships to:
- Individuals
- Religious, civic, social or fraternal organizations unless the specific
project or program for which the sponsorship is requested provides
needed community services or fits within the Globe's funding guidelines
- Political causes or candidates
- Organizations which might pose a conflict with the Joplin Globe's
goals, programs, products or employees
