Mullica’s Tribute to Red Skelton is one of the funniest and

Most
performed outdoor drama in America!
There’s nothing like a summer evening under
the stars getting caught up in the characters of The Shepherd of
the Hills at the Old Mill Theatre. Based on actual events, you’ll
soon see why this story has stood the test of time for over a century.
The action is amazing - like watching a movie come to life in front
of your eyes. There’s a herd of sheep and 40 horses in addition
to the cast of 90, all performing on a stage the size of a football
field. You’ll find yourself in the middle of a pioneer western
with blazing guns, galloping horses, and the actual burning of a
log cabin. During intermission, the audience is invited onto the
set to join in a square dance. It’s a great chance to mingle
with the cast! Guests are invited back to the set again after the
show to meet the cast, snap pictures, and get autographs.
After the show each evening, there is a mounted color guard tribute
to all of the brave men and women who have worked and sacrificed
to protect our country. It is a beautiful and moving tribute that
is the perfect end to a perfect day.
