Kelly Maddy, a 26 year old Joplin native, is President of the Joplin, MO Chapter of NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws). If he isn't found working as a network administrator for a local company he is found advocating for the reform of marijuana policy in Joplin and greater Missouri. Kelly and his wife enjoy spending time at home with their animals, traveling, and watching live music. In 2008, Kelly launched a campaign committee to conduct a petition drive to decriminalize small amounts of marijuana in Joplin that ended with a shortage of just 531 signatures needed to place the initiative on the ballot. During that process the issue garnered substantial attention in the press and has become the launching point for a bigger conversation about marijuana policy in our state.
