About
The Joplin Globe
The Joplin Globe publishes
daily and circulates in more than 90 communities in 14 counties. The Joplin
Globe has been an essential part of this community since its first newspaper
printed in 1896. For more than one hundred years, the Globe has been here,
recording the rich regional history; reporting the good, the bad, and
the controversial; and helping initiate change and progress. Throughout
it all, the Globe’s mission remains the same – to be an essential
part of people’s lives by providing valuable information on what’s
happening in their world.
In 2002, The Joplin
Globe was acquired by Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc., headquartered
in Birmingham, Alabama. For more information on CNHI, visit www.cnhi.com.
